To the students:
Whenever you pick up this yearbook; we hope that it will remind you of the new motto of your Alma Mater: "Ad Deum per gratiam et sapientiam."
In 1964 the motto was entered by Sam Graci of Hamilton, Ontario, (Grad; 1964) in a contest for mottoes and judged the most suitable by Father Simon Winter, C.R.
The First two words should remind you again of the meaning and purpose of your life, which is, to make your way home to God. "Through grace and wisdom" because grace and wisdom are indispensable companions on your journey. I hope they grow along with you every year of your life so that the end of your journey in this world will really be a home-coming to God -- not an end but a beginning.
God has blessed the staff and students of St. Jerome's High School in so many ways and we pray that he may continue to bless the many graduates who have gone out of these walls to serve God and their fellow men.
